1：Be unique,

We believe that we can become a good team and do interesting chemistry by accepting different personalities.

Lab members are encouraged to expose their distinctive individuality.

Let’s work together to develop one-of-a-kind research that will be noticed around the world.

It is also welcome to develop not only your research skills but also your abilities for the benefit of lab members and/or society, towards “the only one”. PI hopes that the members will gain irreplaceable self-confidence through their life in the lab.

2：Go hungry,

Being hungry is hard.

Still, PI wants herself and lab members to stay hungry.

There must be a view that you can only see by growing yourself. Live, learn, and do chemistry hungry, and ultimately achieve the greatest happiness.

3：Interact with the world.

PI has taken the liberty of giving two meanings to the word “the world”.

The first is others.

You may be able to do your studies and hobbies alone, but you can never do your chemistry and stay in lab alone.

We are a team.

PI hopes that the members will truly value daily communication and relationships with others, especially lab members.

The second is, as it is, the world.

We must not limit our consciousness to the lab or the university, but must direct it to the whole country and the world.

Scientists work on the world stage.

By being aware of how the research and the abilities are positioned “in the world”, PI believes members can grow with high aspirations and a broad perspective. PI also believes that members will enjoy their life in the lab even more if they “interact with the world”.
